I recently purchased a new Infiniti G35 Sedan. I want to remove the Chrome "INFINITI" and "G35" emblems. I have read many posts over the internet on how to do them. After I remove them there is some sticky glue left over. If I use goo gone will it remove it all? Or leave marks?

and how would I use the goo gone? just use a cloth and rub some of it on there??

HELP please I don't want to mess my new car up over something little like this

The goo gone might work. I know that lacquer thinner will work. Get some latex gloves (solvents can be absorbed through the skin and mess up your liver) pour a little lacquer thinner on a soft cloth like cheese cloth. Now rub rub rub on the glue with the cloth till it comes off. After it's off you need to wash and wax your car.

what i did to my 04 g coupe was take a hair dryer, heat the emblem for about fifteen seconds, until i can sort of move the emblem around in one spot, then gently peel the emblem off, and use your finger to remove the glue, and whatever you dont remove by finger, use goo gone with a paper towel, and keep scrubbing. a wash and wax will make the it look like there was no emblem there at all, but since its a new one, you wont hav paint fading, so honestly i doubt the logos will be seen.

i removed everything from the back. heh i like to make people guess what the car is... ( those who are not familiar with infiniti )

Strong fishing line like Berkley FireLine, saw it off from underneath. Goo Gone will take off the rest.

I wouldn't mess my car up over something like this either! Leave it alone!
