Before I give my opinion... DRIVE BOTH! You will then know which it best for you. Anything that others say, and I will say will not change which one you like.

- I have owned both of these cars, A 02 RSX-S and a G35-X. My brother had a base automatic RSX, between those 2 RSX models they are a nothing alike(other than looks). The base RSX felt much slower than an older stock Honda civics. The G35 was absolutely amazing in the snow, rain, and handling! It was a beast at WOT, just talking about it I'm really starting to miss it.

- On the other hand I have loved my RSX Type-S since day 1. I have enjoyed how quick it is with its high compression 2.0L engine (many aftermarket parts & easily upgraded), its handling, performance etc. makes it an amazing car that had been very much under-rated. Its got a bullet proof high revving engine, close to 200K miles and I put on 100K and never had a single problem, but have kept the oil changed and occasional routine maintenance. Its been very reliable. Other than the obvious differences sated above me by others... Compared to the G35 you get a great looking car, that's fun to drive, and when I want I can simply change to my ecomodder driving style and get 33-35 MPG have an average MPG currently of 29.9 MPG. Don't believe me? It OK I didn't believe it myself when I started recording/tracking it! It's simply amazing what you can do with a different driving style! That is Just had to throw that in, as I was so impressed. They are completely different cars with completely different specs, so they are hard to compare. Each is impressive in its own right, and the G35 is quicker, but it darn well better be... its a 6cyl re-badged Skyline. The RSX is a 4 seeter, but only fits 2 comfortably, but is a great car in its own right.

The G35 by far. I've driven both, the G is loads more fun, but also more expensive. The RSX is a FWD coupe....the G35 is a RWD GT car....hmmm, the RWD GT/Sports car will alway win compared to a FWD coupe.

The G has more luxery, standard features, safety equipment, etc.

Okay...the moron who said the RSX is better performance wise...are you not just a little biased because you own a RSX? Seriously...how can a FWD, even the R type version of a RSX, outperform somethiing that has almost 2 times more HP, fatter tires, lower drag co-efficient, better brakes (my God the brakes are almost as big as the tires of a RSX)....and guess what happens when you put alot of power in a FWD car? Torque steer....do you like your steering wheel turning my itself when you hit the car? I don't think so....but someone can say "oh but they're tamed it" yeah right....just like you can tame a lion....one day....though, it'll bite you.

Put the two in a track, and it isn't a matter of who's going to win...it's how much the G will beat the RSX by.

The only real reason anyone would want to pick the RSX, is that Honda engines are amazing....they will last you forwever, the resale value of the RSX is higher than that of the G, meaning the car will lose less money. Also the RSX is less on insurance, easier to drive in the winter, and much more affordable.

But if you enjoy driving, luxeries, a good looking car...but can live with the higher costs....do yourself a favor, go for the G.

Yes the G35 is the North American version of the Skyline....the prev Skyline was more powerful though. In Japan and parts of Asia, the G35 is marked as a Nissan Skyline. Wierd though, in SE Asia, I was looking for a Skyline...looked everywhere.....took me 2 weeks....but I found a '05 Infiniti G35....wierd....cost $160 000 after taxes though (those countries have 120% taxes for cars) I thought....um....that's expensive!

Okay, since ppl are dealing with negatives bout the RSX, I'll tell the negatives about the G....and any G owners out there who give me a thumbs down...shame on you!!! You know these are true!!!

Bad on gas....OMG, so bad...I pay close to $400 a month on gas, but I do travel alot...about 7 km per litre. Bad road noise...as the tires in the back are fat and you can hear all the road....not something you want. Suspension is stiffer than waht I was expecting...I expected suspension like this from a 350z...but I was hoping the G would be softer....nonetheless these were not enough to deter me from buying a G.

I own a 2003 G35 Coupe 6 speed with the brembo brakes, aero kit and aero package. I looked at and drove the (now discontinued) RSX when I was buying my car, just to see if I could save $10k and get something "as fun."

The RSX isn't even CLOSE to being as much fun. Forget appearances or build quality for a minute and concentrate on performance only. According to Car and Driver, the RSX Type S was capable of 0-60 in 6.2 and the 1/4 mile in 14.9.

The 2003 G35 coupe was capable of 0-60 in 5.7 and a 1/4 mile in 14.2. More importantly is the amount of torque that the G35 has over the puny RSX engine. You can step on the gas in any gear and the G35 comes to life. You can start from a stop in 3rd gear, where in the RSX it'd bog and die.

Also remember that these two cars couldn't be any more different. The old CL type S would be a better comparison to the G35, but the front wheel drive aspect hurts the CL's credibility.

Now going on to aesthetics and build quality...just go look at both cars. There's no comparison, not even when you get "subjective" about people's opinions. The G is just better in all regards.

I have owned an RSX and my friend currently drives an 06 G35 coupe. If it were my decision I would spring for the RSX. I'm not sure where you live but having a rear wheel drive car in the winter is hell. The RSX takes some of the pain away by being front wheel drive, but its still a car. Anyways, the power in the G35 is obviously going to be a little better than the RSX, however the handling in the Acura is on a whole different level. If you are driving the car so people will look at you, then go for the G35. If its for overall ride, looks, power, handling, etc, I would definitely choose the RSX. Aside from the fact that they have great customer service, it's a Honda engine, which is always a good thing. I like the G35 a lot, it just doesn't quite meet my expectations as far as driving goes. The looks, however, are amazing. It's a very beautiful car. So in other words, looks, G35, performance, RSX. If you are worried about power, you can try to get ahold of a S-type RSX if you can handle a stick. However, finding these cars isn't necessarily easy anymore since they are out of production. Good luck! I hope you are happy with you decision!

I've never driven an acura rsx but i owned a 2005 infiniti g35 coupe and LOVED IT! i recently sold it only because i went with something more affordable. I had no problems with it what so ever..the only thing that bothered me is that i had the 19 inch alloy wheels and the tire price was outrageous! I'd say go with the infiniti

The RSX has been discontinued because of low volume sales. That along is enough for you to decide. It is much smaller and weaker (4-cylinder) than the G35 (powerful V-6). The G35 looks a lot nicer and upscale. I will definitely pick the G35 coupe. If you have extra cash, get the brand new 2008 G37 coupe with even more power and revised look!

If you're looking for a new car. The RSX has been discontinued since 2007. So I guess they haven't been selling much... doesn't seem too appealing.

The 2008 G35 is an amazing machine... driving, handling, performance, & value. The G35's have been outselling most cars in their class... So going by popular demand. G35 is more appealing that any Acura.

The G35 is better in EVERY conceivable way from luxury, styling, performance, comfort, wow factor, status symbol, amenities, etc.

Its also the ONLY car to beat the almighty BMW 3 Series is a head-to-head competition. This comparison is a no brainer. The only people that will tell you the RSX is better obviously have biased opinions and choose to ignore facts. The cars aren't even in the same class. The G35 spanked the Acura CL Type-S (direct competitor - luxury coupe segment) when it was produced as well.

I'm 17 and got a G35 coupe. the girls think the car is sexy, and it's one of the fastest cars at my school. I have a lightweight flywheel and clutch, 19" rims, and am getting my taillights smoked, a new exhaust, plenum spacer (look up motordyne plenum spacer 5/16") and Gialla Grill. The car is faster than my friend's MazdaSpeed3 (but then again, I can drive a stick way better than he can) I spent 16.5k on mine, but they're way cheaper if you get an automatic, since they're so much more common than the stick shift. RSX-S is nice, but small and not as fast, VW's aren't great reliability wise and not as respected as the G. Friend has IS300, no where near as fast as my car. Other friend has '09 Altima Coupe 3.5, fast as mine in the 1/8 mile (he has CVT and launch control, so he doesn't shift, but at higher speeds, I will beat him). top speed on the G35 is over 160 mph... just saying

ACURA RSX all the way.

I have owned one since 2002. Great car, amazing ride. I can't speak enough about it.

And - the customer service is the best i have come across. They REALLY take care of u EVERY time. Amazing service.

I even had rust on my moonroof ( i live in hawaii and have salty air) and the warranty was expired - but because i was the original owner, they took care of it and replaced it for free! - they are good about giving out a rental too, if its ever in the shop or anthing. Mind you, i havent had any issues with my car except the moon roof and getting oil changes/ upkeep stuff).

When u pay that much for a car - the customer service really does count...

And the ride is great! - and the resale value far outdoes that of the infiniti!

I am very disappointed with the G35 coupe. I am not sure which one you are looking for, but I would stay away from what I purchased. It is basically a 'luxury' Nissan 350. I have had the car in the shop 4 times with just over 6K miles. it is expensive to service and it produces terrible road noise. I will never by an inifniti again - and by the way, infiniti customer affairs is useless. They are no Toyota that is for sure.

I like the G35 more. It's actually the american version of the NISSAN SKyline which is my favorite car. Also the rsx is front wheel drive and the G35 is rear wheel drive which is usually faster and you can drift in it!

American version of the SKYLINE GT-R? You wish.. LOL

Anyways back to the question. G35 would be more appealing but it's subjective like most things.

I guess you are looking for a 2dr sporty coupe??
