It depends how much you actually do enjoy a manual. It it were up to me I'd have a manual on my qx56 LOL just because I think it makes the driving experience more fun. Then again I'm a mom and sometimes I need that 6 speed manual to make my trips to the grocery store more fun :-) Manual gets better gas mileage as well....but really it's about your likes!

Oversimplification, but manual is better for racing, easier to maintain, more upgrade options, etc.
Auto is easier for city driving, cruising, etc.

Get the automatic. The shifting is very quick up or down. I own both the manual and automatic in the G35 sports sedan and noticed that the Automatic is on par with the shifting. The shifting is as fast as the VW's DSG and BMW's SMG. Test drive it and you will know.

You can get the G37 Coupe in Manual or Auto. The G37 Sport comes in 6 speed manual only. BUT you can get the sports package for the G37 Journey Edition. This would essentially make your car look the same as the G37 Sport (same brakes, front bumper, etc). Another suggestion around the same price range would be: Lexus IS350/250 BMW 335i Coupe Nissan 350z Mercedes C Class Good luck in your search I know buying a new car is a very exciting experience!

The 350z friend with a manual must be a bad driver when racing.
The Manual is supposed to be much faster than the automatic version of the Z.
Automatics accelerate about 0.5-1.0 seconds slower than the lighter manuals.
If you shift at the wrong time or shift too slow, then the manual would be slower.
If you are getting a sports car, get a manual transmission. If a car has an automatic transmission, I would not call it sporty or fun to drive.
I have driven a manual for the past 4 years and I am about to turn 20. I don't even notice I am driving manual. I can still eat, drink, and change music stations in the car. My legs never get tires and it is very easy. I also drive to college/work/friends houses/car meets, and so on. I will never buy an automatic car.
