the short answer is take it to the dealer it could be a wiring fault,if one wire is loose or damaged this would explain all of the symptoms you have discribed. the passive anti-theft is a different system to the "remote" part of your key fob there is a circuit board in the key which operates the remote central locking there is also a transponder chip in the key which co-ordinates with the engine control unit this is your passive anti-theft which allows the vehicle to start the two systems are interlinked when it comes to reprogramming or ressetting any garage which has an AD100 DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE should in theory be able to sort this but it depends on their level of software as it is very expensive to keep diagnostic machineary up to date with regards to the radio and interior lights there will probably be fault codes in the engine management system which need clearing this can only be done with the fore mentioned machine or main dealer equivalent im afraid you will definatley need assistance by a garage or someone like myself, maybe an auto electrician and the bad news is your talking £50-£400 good luck m8 sometimes ford remotes can be reprogrammed manualy by turning the key 8 times in quick succession in the ignition then pressing the button on your key this is definately the case on some transits cos ive done it , your owners manual should tell you if this can be done cos it sometimes needs doing when the batterys have been replaced

Only the dealer consult II or III scan tool can "reset" the nats system. I was under the impression that using the correct key would allow the system to start the car. I'd take the battery cables off and touch them together, put them back on the battery and try starting it again with the right key. I may be wrong but that's easy to try and may save you a tow and repair bill.
